Install the extension: the step-by-step guide, in 7 illustrated steps
Three minutes, no technical skills. The one step people forget is step 4, “Enable on this site”: without it, the extension is installed but is not yet looking after your till. The pictures below show exactly what you will see on screen, using a fictitious POS as an example (your-pos.com).
⏱ Set aside three minutes in one go. The 24 hours of free fix start as soon as you install (step 1): carry on to the first receipt (step 6) right away to make the most of them.
Language note. The extension is currently published under its French name, “SOS Ticket de Caisse”, and its menu is in French. The buttons are exactly where the pictures show them: “Activer sur ce site” = Enable on this site, “Autoriser” = Allow, “Activer ma licence” = Activate my license. An English interface is planned.
Before you start
✔ You are on the till PC, in the browser used for sales (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera)
✔Your POS software's print utility is running — the one that made receipts print before the failure. The extension restores the link to it; it does not replace it
✔ The printer is on, has paper, and the cable is plugged in
Step 1 — Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store
Two clicks: “Add to Chrome”, then “Add extension”.
Open the Chrome Web Store and search for “SOS Ticket de Caisse” (the extension's store name). On the listing, click the blue Add to Chrome button, then confirm with Add extension. It is free and immediate.
An “Installed” page opens: read it, but don't stop there — the extension only acts on your till after step 4. On Edge, Brave or Opera, the same Chrome Web Store listing works; Edge may ask once to “allow extensions from other stores”: accept.
Step 2 — Pin the icon to keep it within reach
Puzzle piece → pin: the orange icon stays visible at all times.
By default, the browser hides new extensions behind the puzzle piece, to the right of the address bar. Click it, then click the pin next to the extension: the orange icon then stays visible at all times. Optional, but you will click it in the next step — and whenever you want to see the receipt counter.
Step 3 — Open your POS, then click the extension icon
On your POS sales screen, click the orange icon at the top right.
In the same browser, open your POS software as usual and go to the screen where you print receipts (the sales screen). Then click the orange extension icon, at the top right. Make sure you are on your POS page at that moment: the extension is enabled for the site shown in the current tab.
Step 4 — Click “Enable on this site”
The extension menu as you will see it: the orange button is the step everyone forgets.
The extension menu opens. In the This POS site block, you see your POS name followed by “not enabled yet”, and an orange Enable on this site button. Click it.
This is the step people forget. Without it, nothing changes: the extension is installed, but it is not yet looking after your till. Once per till: the extension then remembers, even after a PC restart or an update.
Step 5 — The browser asks for your permission: click “Allow”
The question comes from the browser itself, once. Then: “enabled ✓ (ready, nothing to reload)”.
Your browser then shows its own dialog: the extension is requesting additional permissions. That is normal: it is asking you to let the extension act on this page, and no other. Click Allow.
The menu immediately shows “enabled ✓ (ready, nothing to reload)”. You have nothing to reload, nothing to close, nothing to restart: printing is restored that very instant.
Step 6 — Print a receipt: it comes out as before
Your POS's usual button; the menu counter goes to 1.
Do what you do every day: open a sale and click Print receipt. The receipt comes out. Open the extension menu again: the “receipts unblocked today” counter has gone to 1, and goes up with every print.
You have 24 hours of free fix, counted from installation, to check on real sales that everything works as before. No credit card, no sign-up.
Step 7 — After the trial: enter your license key
Paste the key received by email, click “Activate my license”: done, for good.
Once the 24 hours are over, the menu shows “Free fix over — printing paused” and an input field. Buy your license (€59, once and for all): the key arrives by email. Paste it into the field, click Activate my license: the menu shows “License active”.
That's it, permanently: no subscription, no renewal, no re-entering the key after an update. And if our server were ever unreachable, your printing would continue anyway.
Troubleshooting
The “Enable on this site” button does not appear
Two possible causes: the site is already enabled (the block shows “enabled ✓”), or you are not on your POS page (an empty tab, our website, your email…). Go back to your POS sales screen and open the menu again.
I clicked “Deny” by mistake in step 5
Open the extension menu again and click “Enable on this site” once more: the browser asks the question again.
The receipt still does not print after step 6
Check that your POS software's print utility is running on this PC: it is the one talking to the printer, the extension only restores the link to it. Also check the printer (on, paper, USB cable). If everything is in order and nothing comes out, write to us describing your setup: we will look into it with you.
The browser asks me to “resend the form” / “Confirm form resubmission”
Click Cancel. This dialog appears when a POS page is reloaded right after a sale was validated; “Continue” could record the sale a second time. The extension itself never reloads your page: simply avoid pressing F5 on the sales screen.
I have several tills
Repeat steps 1 to 6 on each PC. One license key is valid for one till; the 3-till pack (€129) contains 3 keys.
I am changing PC
Reinstall the extension on the new PC and enter your key. If it is refused (one key is valid for one till), write to us with your key: we will transfer it to the new PC.
