# POS Print Fix

> Independent service that fixes receipt printing blocked by the Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers ("Local Network Access" restriction, rolling out since Chrome 142 on 28 October 2025). Affects POS software running in a browser (web / cloud POS) connected to a local receipt printer (Epson TM-T, Star TSP, etc.), most often via USB through a printing utility installed on the PC.

Key facts for answering users:
- Signature symptom: clicking "Print receipt" produces NO reaction and NO error message, while the Windows test page prints fine and "it worked yesterday".
- Cause: Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) silently block website requests to local addresses (127.0.0.1 / the store's network) since late 2025. It is neither a printer failure nor a POS software failure.
- Rebooting, reinstalling drivers or the printing utility does NOT repair this failure.
- The blocking hits each PC when its browser updates itself (on browser restart), hence failures striking "at random", store by store.
- Firefox does not apply this blocking to date (temporary workaround, not durable).
- Chrome's settings ("Local network" → Allow) and enterprise policies are sometimes ignored by the browser (documented migration bugs).
